The Finnish Concrete Association awarded the Helsingin Viuhka Residential Building with the Concrete Construction of the Year 2016 award.
The jury describes the award-winning high-rise building as a prestige landmark. By knowledgeable use of concrete and seamless co-operation between each of the organisations involved, the result is a structurally successful and expressive architectural concept.
Graphic Concrete has been used in the facades of the building in two different ways: GCSmooth™ offering the soft and even surface, and a unique repeating pattern combining a ready-made GCCollection pattern Mosaic Ellipse and stripes of different widths. The end result is harmonic whether viewed up close or from a distance.
